Last night we found some bison and flying jackalope tracks ad cast them. The kids each have a cast to share with you.
After some cleaning and a closing activity we will be off to the airport. I'll be happy to sleep in my own bed tonight.
Good times! Great trip!
( p.s. The flying jackalope is a fictional animal. lol)

The kids did awesome today. We hiked up the butte today and had some wonderful views of the valley floor. They were a little tired on the hike, but they were happy they completed the trek.
We got some ice cream down in Jackson and walked around the shops. Saw lots of cowboy hats. Finished up just in time to miss the heavy rain.
Kids can't wait to see you all tomorrow.

We made it through some "loud" thunderstorms last night. Shane and Aidan slept through all the noise. The sun is shining this morning. Blue skies all around.
We have a much more layed back day planned. We will be doing a service project this morning planting willows to help preserve the habitat for the local animals. We are then heading to the art museum to see exhibits featuring life in Wyoming.
Tonight- We will be learning about astronomy. We'll be using the telescopes to see some out of this world sights. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a clear night.

Great day canoeing on the lake. We learned how fast the weather can change in this part of the country. We had some sun, some clouds, and some heavy rain....
We saw a moose up close while hiking around the lake. I will try to upload those photos before the end of the night.
Off to do see some animals tonight ( hopefully).

Good Morning from The Teton's. The kids are sleeping better and better each night. (exhausted at night). We are off to String Lake at the edge of the Teton range for a day on the lake canoeing. Should be fun. We're going to learn a little about the glaciers and land formations. We will be heading to Oxbow Bend for dinner and some wildlife viewing later on in the day.
We saw a red fox and deer yesterday on campus. :-)

Wednesday
After a long day yesterday we all got a good night sleep. We had a tasty breakfast of blueberry pancakes and bacon. mmmmm. We are all geared up for a hike to Bradley-Taggert Lake. We'll get some great views of the mountains up close and learn about the natural communities in the area.

Great day out in the field. We spent the day hiking some of the local trails around the Teton Science School campus. We didn't run into any bear or moose yet! We are keeping our eyes open. The kids (and Mr. Peters) are exhausted from a full day. Looking forward to dinner and a relaxful presentation tonight to finish up the day.
Tuesday
The kids are up bright and early. We are looking forward to a long day out in the field hiking and enjoying the scenery after a big breakfast. The weather is chilly this morning (mid 40's) but will warm up to around 80 today. I will make sure to post more photos tonight.
